Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate are the prayer times on currentnamaztime.com? ▾
Our prayer times use your GPS location with multiple calculation methods including MWL, ISNA, Egyptian, Umm Al-Qura, and Karachi methods. Times are recalculated daily for maximum accuracy at your exact coordinates.
How is Nisab calculated for Zakat? ▾
Nisab is dynamically calculated based on either 87.48g of gold or 612.36g of silver — whichever is lower (scholarly preference). We use live gold and silver market prices to ensure your Nisab threshold is always accurate.
What Hijri calendar system does the date converter use? ▾
We use the astronomical Umm Al-Qura calendar as a reference, with options to select tabular or observed moon calculations. The calendar accounts for regional differences and provides conversions for any date from 1300 AH onwards.
Is the Halal stock screening tool reliable for investment decisions? ▾
Our screening follows AAOIFI Shariah standards and screens for business activity, debt ratios (33% threshold), and interest income. We recommend consulting a qualified Islamic finance scholar for significant investments as conditions can change.
How is Qibla direction determined? ▾
Qibla is calculated using the Great Circle method from your GPS coordinates to the Kaaba (21.4225°N, 39.8262°E). This is the most accurate mathematical method and is used by leading Islamic authorities worldwide.
Can I use these tools offline? ▾
Most calculation tools (Zakat, Inheritance, Age Calculator, Kaffarah) work fully offline once the page loads. Prayer times and Qibla require an initial connection for location data, but results are cached for 24 hours.
Trusted by Muslims Worldwide
currentnamaztime.com is designed to be your daily Islamic companion — from the first Fajr prayer time of the day to your last Isha, from calculating your annual Zakat obligation to finding the correct Qibla direction wherever you travel. All tools are built with accuracy, speed, and Islamic principles at their core.
